01 What type of leather are your products made from?
Made from 100% vegetable-tanned full-grain leather. It is tanned with natural tannins from tree bark and plants, without chromium. The process takes weeks instead of hours and produces a sturdier material that becomes more beautiful the more you wear it.
02 What is patina?
The warm glow and deepening color that vegetable-tanned leather develops through light, air, and use. It gradually makes your bag darker and more personal. It isn’t wear and tear, but the reason we choose this leather.
03 Which bag suits me?
It mainly depends on what you carry with you every day. On which bag suits you, we’ll go through it with you, from laptop size to how much you carry.
04 Why does each piece look slightly different?
Because every hide is different and we don’t seal the leather with a uniform coating. Small color variations, light scratches, and differences in texture are part of its character. They aren’t flaws, but proof that you’re holding a natural product.
05 How do I maintain my Beocca?
Wipe weekly with a dry cloth, condition every 3 to 6 months, and impregnate a few times a year. The full step-by-step guide is on our leather care page.
06 Where are your products made?
Handcrafted in small workshops in Kolkata, India, by artisans who have practiced this craft for generations. Small batches, no mass production. The design comes from the Netherlands.
07 How much does shipping cost, and how quickly will it arrive?
Shipping is free, with no minimum order value. If you order before 5:00 p.m. on a business day, your package will be shipped with PostNL that same day, including track and trace. Delivery takes 1 to 2 business days in the Netherlands and 1 to 3 in Belgium.
08 Can I return it for free?
Yes. You have 30 days to change your mind, and we’ll provide you with a free return label. Returning your order won’t cost you anything. Start the process in just a few clicks on our returns page.
09 How much warranty do I get?
Two-year manufacturer’s warranty on all products, starting from the purchase date. It covers manufacturing defects and material flaws under normal use, including zippers, buckles, and shoulder straps.
